Dr. Ágoston Zimmermann (Mór, December 3, 1875 Budapest, October 6, 1963) Kossuth Prize-winning veterinarian, animal scientist, university professor, doctor of veterinary science, full and honorary member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. It was a school-creating figure in the comparative and functional anatomy of pets. From 1910 to 1946, he was the head teacher of descriptive and landscape anatomy at the parent institute of veterinary training in Hungary, the Royal Hungarian Veterinary College and its successor institutions. His volume, published in 1912, became an essential handbook for blacksmiths.
